Catalog & Reference Media Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy is issued by TheVideoGen AI, Inc. and covers catalog stills (images) and catalog motion clips from Frameset, Eyecandy, Film Grab, and any other reference library we show in the Service. It works with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

TheVideoGen uses catalog stills and short motion references to help you direct AI-generated video. You do not receive ownership of the underlying films, commercials, or music videos. Outputs you generate are your user-generated content, subject to our Terms. Do not scrape, bulk-download, rehost, or redistribute catalog source media.

2. Allowed use

  • Browse and pin stills or short motion references while signed in, to direct a new AI-generated shot.
  • Use catalog craft (lighting, camera, palette, motion language) as direction for generation — not as a copy of the source title.
  • Keep generated outputs you create, subject to the Terms and third-party model terms.

3. Not allowed

  • Scraping, crawling, bulk-downloading, or harvesting catalog images or motion clips (including via scripts, headless browsers, or reused signed URLs).
  • Rehosting, republishing, or building a competing library from our stills or motions.
  • Treating the catalog as a stock download site, or attempting to obtain full films, episodes, or uncut source titles.
  • Hotlinking catalog media on other sites, or sharing access tokens / session cookies so others can pull the library.

4. How we protect stills and motions

  • Catalog originals live in private storage. Browsers never receive a durable public file URL.
  • Stills and motions are served only through our app, to a signed-in account.
  • Search, stills, and motion clips are rate-limited per account. Motion clips are limited more tightly than thumbnails.
  • The catalog API is not a public internet service. Health checks stay on the host; data routes require a service token.
  • We may suspend accounts, revoke sessions, and block traffic that looks like harvesting.

5. Your uploads and generated clips

Media you upload and videos you generate are your project files. They are not part of the reference catalog. Other users cannot open them unless you create a share link.

Share links are public for the chat, your uploads, and generated clips. Catalog stills and motion clips are not included — those stay inside the signed-in app. Only share a link if you intend to publish that session.

6. Enforcement

If we detect scraping or redistribution of catalog stills or motions, we may rate-limit, lock the account, revoke API keys, and pursue the remedies in the Terms. To report abuse, contact hello@thevideogen.com.
